The “downtown” is located on the Lake Michigan shore with 300 feet of sandy beach at Lakeside Park. Head a little out of town and you’ll find Schauer Park, maybe the most popular place to launch a kayak or canoe because you can paddle out to view the popular Cave Point from the water. Two shops offer kayak rentals, as well as bike rentals because there is no prettier place to bike than along Cave Point Drive.
Bley’s Grocery has a nice variety of anything you might need, and a fantastic meat counter with home-grown pork and beef. Little Bit of Coffee is open in the season, a branch of Door County Coffee, you can enjoy the sunrise on the deck or inside. If you know Door County Coffee, you’ll love Little Bit of Coffee. Jacksonport Craft Cottage has an every changing variety of handcrafted gifts. Also in the downtown you’ll find two eateries–Island Fever and Mike’s Port Pub.

Next door is Bley’s Bar which is undergoing a renovation and reincarnation–we can’t wait to see what the end result is.
